My aunt is coming in from New Jersey to meet me for a birthday brunch. We've been to Penelope's in Murray Hill many times and I would like to something a bit different. I was thinking Prune but I know that they don't take reservations. If we arrive around 10:30 am on Sunday with three people, do you think that the wait would be more than 30 minutes?

Any other restaurant suggestions would also be appreciated. I'm looking to stay downtown and for atmosphere nice but nothing incredibly expensive.

Many thanks!

The wait probably wouldn't be super long but given the weather, I wouldn't want to be out there in the cold for 45 minutes. There's nowhere to wait inside.

I would try to reserve at Five Points, Locanda Verde, Perilla, or go to Blue Ribbon Bakery.
