This is a question for all you Michigan hounds. Do you think our region needs a food show on the radio? Some public radio stations already air The Splendid Table but I'm talking about a MICHIGAN based show with MICHIGAN voices. If so, what would you like to hear on the show (i.e. reviews, commentary, call-in element)? And finally, if you do listen to The Splendid Table, what do you like and dislike about the show?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Cheers,

Sounds like fun...

Maybe they could get that Fork in the Road guy--he's very enthusiastic about the Magical Mitten's foods. The laid back NPR style reminds me too much of the SNL Schwetty sketches.

I'd say feature a local product, a restaurant review, and a discussion (guests?) of food news, but not fond of the call-in aspect as they seem to get bogged down in the caller's agenda.
