<content>My daughter will be bringing her vegetarian boyfriend to thanksgiving dinner. I don't have a problem making some vegetarian dishes, but I need some advice on tofurkey.
My family is a big fan of "Everybody Loves Raymond", and the Thanksgiving episode where Marie makes the turkey shaped tofurkey is one of our favorites. I thought it was a joke; I had no idea there really was a turkey shaped piece of turkey flavored tofu out there, lol! I want to try this, and I know the vegan b/f will enjoy it and be amused by it. So, I need advice on tofurkey. Does anyone have a good recipe for it? I've seen some on the net, but I'm not sure which one to choose. Am I better off just buying it? I've heard Whole Foods carries them. How about the mold? Do I need one, or can I make ir free hand? I've never really worked with tofu, so I don't know which direction to go.
Thanks !
