Goose at Market Basket ,Somerville

We always do a smoked goose for thanksgiv. ,and they are very hard to find. except at very high prices at wilson farm . MB in Somville has them again this yr.; he told me he got in 4 cases. I don't remember the price; but when I called around last yr, it was the most reasonable price that i found.

Thanks for the information; any memory of what the whole goose ended up being, roughly (about $100/goose at Savenor's when they've got them).

Are said geese @ MB smoked already, or do you do it on your end?

Sorry,i didn't realize that was confusing. I always SMOKE a goose for thanksgiving. The MB geese are not smoked.D'Artagnan in N.J. is the only vendor of smoked goose that I know of.

thanks for the link...although D'Artagnan doesn't seem to have smoked goose currently (maybe later in the season?)
