    I think the board needs some more information...

    1. Location?

    2. Meat or Dairy?

    3. Can you better define "heimishe", do you mean cuisine (like old fashioned NY deli) or respectful/homey/relaxed atmosphere or something else

              If you'll look up 'heimishe' in the dictionary, you'll get a picture of this place. Also, see "dirty, delicious, shtetle throwback, I bet Peter Luger's up the block has cleaner bathrooms but the food can't POSSIBLY be this good".

              Of course, I have a strange dictionary.

                I actually went to Gottliebs in Williamsburg end of last week. They must have redone the men's room as it looked fairly modern, and overall clean. Better than most restaurant restrooms I have been in.
