Does anyone have any suggestions for good Italian restaurants in Chicago (north side, if possible)? Thanks so much!

I like Buena Terra on California Ave in Logan Square and Terragusto (two locations: one on Addison; one on Armitage).

If you want a local trattoria, try the Bocca della Verita in Lincoln Square. The ossobuco is absolutely real. Nice staff and service, too. (laboccachicago.com).

My fave is Volare, just off Mich. Ave at, I think, Illinois. You have to walk downstairs to the east. It's oldstyle, but very, very good. Shrimp and veal, in particular.

          I agree on Volare.

I also had a great meal recently at Rosebud Trattoria (used to be Ballo) kitty-corner from Ben Pao on Illinois.
