Has anyone found a shop in the Boston area that makes good sour cream donuts? I have the slightest bit of an addiction to the sour cream glazed donuts at Tim Horton's, but driving to Canada for donuts isn't really practical.

There are Tim hortons in/near RI. They took over Bess Eatin several years ago. If you get to West Springfield there is a Donut Dip on rt 5 that makes amazing SC donuts.

I hope this happens. I always go to Tim Hortons in Auburn ME. on my way to and from Rangeley ME. I like Tim's hot chocolate, coffee and donuts. When my brother was working in Providence RI. I had him go to Tim Hortons and buy a few cans of their hot chocolate and coffee. We have too many Dunkin Donut stores in MA. imho. I hope they open up several Tim Horton stores in the Boston area. Thanks for the good news.

Unfortunately, it looks like I misremembered the post: it stated that Tim's was going into NYC and had speculation that they were launching a Boston area assault: sorry for getting your hopes up.

I do expect them to enter the city (or at least the burbs) pretty soon, though.

It's not technically the Boston area but I know that Flemings on Cape Cod (Eastham, Orleans and one other town) makes excellent sour cream donuts. Not close but closer than Canada.
