THE MODERN--seeking recommendations.
I will be dining here for the first time and would love to hear of dishes that have delighted others in the past...I am open to anything; have read good things about the squab and foie gras croustillant...
This is the current menu:

After the wonderful dinner last fall, I am fortunate to be returning to the Modern dining room this week. Loved the squab croustillant last time.
Does anyone have recommendations from the current (regular, not tasting) menu?

I wish I could talk you into one of the tasting menus. I've had both the Chef and the Winter recently and they really were incredible. But, you can't go wrong with the sweetbreads, butter poached lobster, the younf rabbit, or the foie gras terrine.

My last visit was just before Christmas and this looks to be the same menu. The pheasant soup and poached egg with artichoke puree will both delicious. On previous visits I have had the butter poached lobster and chorizo crusted cod and I would recommend both. This last time I had the Creekstone beef tenderloin and it just didn't hit the mark for me. If you are a martini lover - they make a great one; extra cold with little shards of ice floating on top. Enjoy your dinner!
