Uncle Chen was a very popular Taiwanese restaurant in San Gabriel, but I guess the good uncle decided to hang up the spatula. In its place is the newly opened Shengji Noodle House. And while they probably aren't really specializing in piggy parts, it almost seems like it. All but one of the stir-fry dish section dishes is pig stomach or pig intestines, and they have several varieties of noodle soup with pig feet, intestines or stomach. The menu seems all over the place. If one of the area hounds could categorize this place I would appreciate it. Also an explanation of their fierce looking logo would be nice, too. Shengji Noodle House is at 529 E. Valley Blvd., #178A.
