small plates within a 15 minute walk of SoHo, Nolita, etc.

I'd like to meet up with some friends for some small plates, before heading to Pegu Club for drinks aftewards.

Degustation looks like it's fairly close, but it seems to have some terrible reviews.

Where would you suggest? n?

      1. Degustation is a very good place. One first-time poster wrote a very harsh review recently but most people really like it.

        Other options:
        Jack's Luxury Oyster Bar
        Ten Bells
        Knife + Fork
        Barrio Chino.

Really, there are so many options.

        Barrio Chino
253 Broome St, New York, NY 10002

        Jack's Luxury Oyster Bar
        101 2nd Ave, New York, NY 10003

Degustation is TINY though, I wouldn't try to walk in. And I wouldn't try to go there with more than 3-4 people.

Also, the food at Pegu Club is actually good.

        2. Boqueria is decent.

          1. Thanks for all your recs-they sound great and give me a great shortlist to work from.

I have enjoyed a meal at the w 19th st location of Boqueria- thanks for reminding me they had a Spring Street location!

And egit, thanks for clearing up my confusion re: the consensus on Degustation.
