Easter week in Paris - what's open?

rmw555 Nov 8, 2009 11:29 AM

I know most everything will be closed Easter Monday, but what about later that week? -- in particular, will Michelin-starred-level places be open, say on the Thursday, Friday, Saturday following Easter?

Thanks in advance.

Thank you! My husband and I just booked a flight with miles - not much else was still available in April. We're arriving Easter Monday morning, leaving the following Sunday, and were a bit worried we'd end up with few options that week. Looking forward to mining this board for great ideas!

The Michelin website is still your best source for opening days --- www.viamichelin.com

      Not necessarily.
Call, it depends, who knows, Monday openings now are so rare (as Paga says "Mondays are the new Saturdays), on ne sais jamais.
I just did Sunday summaries on Mondays and holidays (XMas but much the same) - http://johntalbottsparis.typepad.com/...

I don't believe Easter will present problems, in many respects it will be the same as any weekend with a public holiday. The Paris school holidays are not until late April so families won't be taking off during Easter week.

I have spent 2 of the last 3 Easters having a grand dejeuner at Drouant.
