<content>Driving back from downtown, wanted to check out Silverton's Gelato Bar - so we discovered the charming stretch of Tijunga a few blocks north of Ventura blvd...like a mini larchmont...easily the most charming street in the valley, IMO.

My son was hungry...huge lines outside aroma...he loves pizza, and i always wanted to try caoti - from back when it was on Laurel.

Ambiance, Service and Prices are all terrific...homey, friendly and reasonable.

Food, however, was lackluster. Chopped salad was a mix of commercial/supermarket quality ingredients. Pizza was too cheesy with a cardboard like crust.

Gelato Bar, btw, was stellar - easily the best gelato i've had in LA...pistacchio, chocoate, straciatella, all sorbets were wonderful...terrific service as well. Will return to try an affogato.
