Looking for a good, sort of cheap restaurant for a friends birthday get together in Westchester(White Plains)

I'm looking for a decent restaurant to hot a friends birthday get together of about 7 people. Heres what I have in mind: Somewhere affordable (college student affordable), maybe family style (like Chinese, thai, indian, pizza etc), and most importantly somewhere that doesn't mind if we are a bit loud. Any ideas?

if your up for a little bit of a drive, there is Barcelona in Greenwich. Its this great tapas bar, and I think your volume would be fine.

i have always liked the pizza at nicky's and suppose there food would be good, right sized place and plenty of large groups served there, may not be the cheapest, but probably not too much and in a good central location

Spiga has good food, served family style, a fun atmosphere that will tolerate your noise, and if you stay away from the veal and seafood dishes should be in your budget range.

The Cookery in Dobbs Ferry has many small plates that could be served family style - very good food and prices are not exhorbitant. www.thecookeryrestaurant.com They don't take reservations for less than 5 and I would strongly recommend them. The noise level in general is a bit loud, so your table wouldn't stand out.

I've had, and seen, parties at Bao's in White Plains. They are very easy to work with , and the food is good and well priced.

1) Shiraz, the Persian restaurant on Rte. 119 in Elmsford, you can certainly eat family style there
2) Turkish Meze in Mamaroneck, which I like even better than Shiraz
3) Augie's (Italian) on Boston Post Rd in Larchmont. On Sundays they have a special, pasta, meatballs, sausage, garlic bread, salad for one price ($25 for 2? something like that). The bowl of pasta is huge!
4) Dim sum at Aberdeen in White Plains.

La Manda on Rt 119 in White Plains. Not fancy but great red sauce style Italian and very good pizza as well. Pretty reasonably priced with large portions. I'm pretty sure it's cash only.
