Hi, I'm looking for great restaurants with new seasonal menus for fall & winter. Example: entrees that include: pumpkin, squash, cranberry, sweet potato & fig or winter soups/stews.

Also bar or restaurant recs with seasonal cocktails like an interesting hot apple cider or hot chocolate would be appreciated. I know Angels Share has a fantastic new menu (one cocktail has roasted thyme!)

I live in Nolita but dine around. Even recs on cheaper food (like the new pumpkin raisin knishes at Yonah Schimmel's) are greatly appreciated :)

What a great question! The fall veggies and fruits are so great here. You might want to post on the outer boroughs board. I just had a great meal last night at Flatbush Farm in Brooklyn. It had many of the ingredients you mentioned and I'll be posting a full report tomorrow.

I know Lupa often changes its veggie offerings with the seasons. I've had great squash dishes there in the fall. Enjoy.

Thanks for the suggestion Jeremy! I've actually never been to Lupa but I've been meaning to so it's definitely on the list now.

And yes, I think posting on the outer board is a good idea. I normally stay in Manhattan for dinner but I would absolutely try somewhere else if I had a good excuse :) Thanks!

It's been quite a while since I've been there, but you might want to check out the menu at Gramercy Tavern - in the front room.

Good call. They had a chowder with squash and seafood last time I was there. Really wonderful.
