Great Bakery/Casual Cafe in San Diego

Does anyone know any inexpensive, nice bakeries where I can buy savory pastries in San Diego? (Would be great if it's close to San Diego Convention Center.)

Thanks in advance!

Second Azucar in Ocean Beach. It's not so close to the Convention Center, but definitely worth the trip!

                    "maybe"

                  2. We are partial to TWIGGS on ADAMS Avenue. They have great sandiches and cake. The White Velvet Cake is really special.

                      1. Sage French Cake on Convoy St. in Kearny Mesa. Owner is Korean but trained in Japan. Tiramisu, Raspberry Ganache, Napoleon,....etc, they are all good. This is not your usual bakery that sells layer cakes. I am a bit surprised nobody had mentioned.
