Chinese in Theatre District? Pl. help

We are looking for a decent Chinese restaurant in the theatre district, hopefully near Wst 49th St. TIA

    i love wu liang ye on 48th between 5th and 6th. imo, one of the better sichuan places in manhattan and not dumbed down for theater district dining. decor is nice as well. spare, but nice.

      I would go to Szechuan Gourmet. 21 W 39th Street, very authentic Szechuan, went once on a CH recommendation and really liked it.

        Agree with Szechuan Gourmet. It is WELL worth the 10 blocks. Recently had Fresh Pork Belly on Chili Leeks. Amazing. Also, once you order, the service is really fast.

        Is Wu liang ye still open? The location on E 86 bet 2nd/3rd closed about a month ago.
