We made a reservation for Nov 27 a few weeks ago. We got a call Thursday telling us they were cancelling it because they had "very important people" coming in.
Okay we get it we're not celebrities - BUT there wasn't even an offer of another time or day or even an APOLOGY!!!
Is this accetable to New Yorkers?

not acceptable in the least under any circumstances. well, okay, if a fire had gutted the place, they've got a leg to stand on, but "very important people"? that doesn't cut it. i'm outraged and i'm not even in the mix!

Thanks - I knew New Yorkers would let anyone be treated this badly. We come semi annually and love to go to new and exicting places and spend a fair amount of time researching where to go, so we had spent time on this choice. I really hope this wouldn't happne here in Toronto....
