kaze japanese restaurant closed!!

Kaze was absolutely my favorite japanese restaurant in chicago. I had heard a while ago that there was some friction between the head chef and his financial backers and that a closing was possible - i drove by today and was so saddened to see the restaurant has been shuttered!

Does anyone know where the chef might be headed next?

Any info you have would be greatly appreciated....it was such a lovely restaurant and the menu was so innovative, the food so fresh and lovingly prepared.

A big loss to Chicago Japanese food lovers!!
