There are some good pubs in the area, but at 9 p.m., you probably won't feel like driving to far but you might hit something as you go towards the hotel. There is a good pub in Marlow and also one near Maidenhead at Bray. It looks lovely and I'm sure the food will be fine... and no doubt better than most pubs in Slough. I don't think it's very common for British people to go to hotels like that for a meal. The only time I've done it is when my husband's company has a special event or in the past when I was a tourist from the States. After those meals in Paris, you may be happy for a quiet night and good meal close to your room. Both Paris and London are such great 'eating' cities...
