There have been a number of messages lately that the quality at Amuse has dropped due to the opening of Beechwood. Have you experienced this? I'd love to try it now that they have the wine license but only if it is as good as ever. Thanks

Ate at Amuse last Saturday and none of us was disappointed.

Is Beechwood the new place at the other end of Abbot Kinney? I didn't realize it had opened.

I don't know what Amuse was like before, but it sure is good now. My man and I went for dinner last Friday and shared some small plates and a duck dish that was to die for. We were able to order a tasty bottle of wine for only 27 dollars, and finished off with a panna cotta and a brownie with mint ice cream (we couldn't just order one). The server was very informative and sweet, and the whole experience was nothing less than pleasant.
We've already made reso's to go back for valentines day. We're not huge wine drinkers, but otherwise the wine dinner sounds like it would be fun.
