Had a great meal at Amazing 66 recently, and I'm curious about a few menu items - some higher priced ones, so I didn't want to take the plunge without knowing anything. A number of people have talked about the short ribs in pumpkin, so that's on my to-try list, but the following items I'm curious about:

"House Roast Beef Western Style" - it's $35, nearly double the cost of the Roast Beef Over Spinach. Is it a big, family-size portion? And what exactly is "Western Style" for that matter? Rye bread & mustard?

"Soup Made with orange peels, chicken kidney and watercress" - sounds good to me, but at $45 (for what's listed as "small") I'm not so sure. It doesn't mention any fancy ingredients, a la abalone or shark fin, that might drive up the price. Is "small" just a misprint, and it's a big ol' family size serving?

"Sauteed Pork's Belly And Dry Squid In Xo Sauce" - not terribly expensive ($17) but curious if the "pork belly" in question is flesh or stomach - you never know, sometimes on the same menu "belly" will be used for both. I'll eat either/or but not all of my dining companions will.

"Clams And Hookan Soup" - I'm fairly familiar with Chinese menus and the various spelling things get in transliteration, but I haven't the faintest clue what a "hookan" is. Change a few letters and you've got "loofah" - maybe?

Also noticed salmon on the menu - not a terribly common fish for a Chinese place that isn't doubling Japanese cuisine as well. Wondering how it'll marry with intense Chinese flavors... also, for me Salmon really needs to be rare / medium rare. Probably can't order it that way, I'm guessing...

pork belly will be flesh not stomach, they will specify stomach if its stomach

i think ive had the salmon there in black bean sauce, it was pretty decent....salmon is not all that common in chinese cuisine though, im actually not even sure if they have salmon in china...i never ate it growing up and i dont ever remember really seeing it in asia

its easier to see what they might be if you have the characters, the english names are often translated poorly although the chinese names are usually not super descriptive either, but if its a semi-well known dish that is just translated poorly its obviously easier to tell what it is
