I am coming up from new york to Boston later this month to take clients out to dinner. Any ideas on what would be a fun and/or delicious place to go. Nothing over the top fancy, need great food in a great atmosphere.

I've found Eastern Standard to be a great place for business dinners. The food is very good, and the atmosphere is upscale yet fun, and not romantic.

My vote would be Scampo in the Liberty Hotel. I have taken many clients there and always had great food and service. The hotel itself is rather unique because it was the city jail for many, many years but Lydia Shire does a great job. Try her Lobster Pizza for app to share with your guests.

Where did you end up on this trip? How was it? This should help with responding to your current pending request in a most helpful way.

I don't think Scampo is a good choice for a business dinner. It's a fine restaurant, but has a more night-club party-like atmosphere. O Ya is a great restaurant, but is the very definition of over the top. If you don't want to go to a steak house or Locke-Ober, I'd really recommend Sorellina for a business dinner. It is classy and upscale without being over the top, has excellent food and service, and perhaps most importantly is quiet and conducive to conversation. It is also well located. For all these reasons, it is the "go-to" place for serveral of my friends who work in finance in Boston when they have an important business dinner to plan.
