My significant other and I will be traveling to Asheville, NC this weekend to celebrate a special occasion. This is my first time visiting and we would like to eat at a restaurant on Saturday night that has great food and a romantic, yet fun atmosphere. I've been reading some of the boards and saw that Zambra is often recommended. Does anyone have any other "must try" suggestions for this special weekend?

If it's truly a special occasion, I'd go with Zambra downtown or Fig in Biltmore Village. If you want the best food (not to mention best value) in town and don't mind if the decor is a little more funky, go to The Admiral in West Asheville. FYI: Reservations are recommended for all three. And please let us know what you thought.

I would recommend Fig over Zambra's. IMO you will have a better food/dining experience. The other option is Rezaz, which is just around the corner from Fig. Wonderful food in a nice setting (prettier than Fig and the tables are a little less crowded). Let us know where you go and how it is!
