Hachiya persimmons are pretty expensive where I live for some reason, but fuyus are more affordable and available (probably the marketing push). I love eating hachiyas, but am not crazy about fuyus. Is it possible to bake with fuyus? They're so hard I'm not sure if they'd puree down, and their flavor seems much more subtle than hachiyas, so I'm not sure if it'd be worth it.

Slice them and grill them... depending how sweet, you could sprinkle a dash of brown sugar and cinnamon... Allow them to caramelize and serve with vanilla ice cream or creme fraiche.
