Gourmet Magazine Questions

  • 7

1. If Gourmet is being discontinued as a publication, why did I get my November 2009 issue with an accompanying sheet urging me to "Give the gift of Gourmet" for $4 a pop?

2. Why is there no mention in Reichl's editorial page of the magazine's fate?

  1. Others may have more information but I was under the impression that the axe came so suddenly that the November issue had already gone to press so there was no time to tie up loose ends.

wow, that's startling! what's the story? i mean, that is how one treats white collar perps!

      2. Ruth Reichl did an interview with Terry Gross on NPR last week. She said she had no advanced knowledge and was extremely sad by the sudde announcement. She said she would of put together a completely different Nov. issue and would of written a much different Editor's letter. Here's a link to the interview:

I believe you will now be receiving issues of Bon Appetit.

lynn, someone in this very long thread said they finally got through to C/S - http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/657108 Sounds like your subscription moves over to Bon Appetit, unless you specifically request a refund.
