Turning 39--looking for an amazing place to dine in DC or suburbs

Okay, it's a special birthday and I want a "top" restaurant to celebrate! My husband and I love great food--don't want to break $350 on the bill, but may reconsider if it's a very special place. Recommendations?

  1. The two best restaurants we have eaten at in the district are Komi and CityZen, not in any specific order. If you are careful with the wines you will be under your $350 at either place. I think that the five course tasting at CityZen is $115 per head and the three course around $85.00. But trust me when I say that the meal we had would have been worth any dollars above $350.00. Amazing food!

Have been to Komi twice but not for over a year. Their eight course appetizer small bites are truly a treat you will never forget. Happy B-Day.

Komi is the best high end meal I've had in the city - it was worth every cent, and you can do it for under $350. Highly recommended!

      1. Volt, Mini Bar, Citronelle but for a special night I love a drive out to great falls virginia and an evening at LeAuberge Chez Francois. It makes you feel like you are in the french countryside and they make you feel special and the food is always great. I also love 2941
