665011 Thu Nov 05 14:22:38 -0800 2009 9 12 Boston Area 0 5159125 I stopped in at Court House Fish Market today to pick up something for dinner and noticed that they had fresh Uni (Sea Urchin) in the shell at $4.99/lb. I asked how you open them and one of the staff told me they also had them already out of the shell too. I bought a small wooden tray of impeccably fresh Uni along with a halibut steak and some mackerel. The tray of Uni was about $10.00 but considering that one order of two pieces at most sushi bars is somewhere between $6.00 and $8.00 it was a hell of bargain. The staff told me that they are planning to stock it as often as possible so if you are a fan this is the place to go. Court House Fish is my go-to place any time I need seafood. I have a recipe I got in Japan for spaghetti made with a sauce of uni, tobiko and butter with shaved nori as a garnich. There were four rows of individual pieces and each row had about 5 pieces in it so about 20 pieces per tray.
