Akasha does a wonderful seasonal lunch....
For something more casual, I always love Blue Bird Cafe on Washington

I am a big fan of Tender Greens, on Culver Blvd near the merge with Washington. Website is www.tendergreensfood.com Both the flank steak and the albacore tuna are recommended.

When I play hooky from work, I hit Skratch. The above options are good as well.

Maybe Samosa House or the new Bawarchi for a quick Indian bite? Or Annapurna (for a very decent uthappam)? I have not been to The Point since Mark Peel took it over, but will give it a try very soon. I am not sure what you mean by "wonderful"? Great food? Lovely setting? None of these are pretty.

Fraiche and Le Saint Amour are both great lunch choices.

If I have the budget for a $20+ lunch, Akasha or Le Saint Amour are my first thoughts. Cafe Surfas is a bit less, and I adore their buffalo burger with the green salad. Then there's S&W Diner, which has a lot of good stuff, but also quite a few items that look better than they are.

I would recommend Gloria's Cafe on Venice / Jasmine. Fantastic food, great service, and great prices. A lot of my friends from Sony go here for lunch, that's how I was introduced to it.

Agreed. Gloria's is delicious, prices are reasonable, and pupusas are yummy. The restaurant is in a dumpy row of shops, but it has its own free parking.
