Hi, I want to try this recipe but it says it serves 4 and I want to make it for 6 people. Perhaps a dumb question but shall I just multiply all the amounts by 1.5? Anyone see a problem with this idea or have suggestions for another recipe I should try instead?

I see no problem with your formulation but you may want to use jfood's recipe which is geared for 6 and seems to be based on the recipe you are contemplating. http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/602033

Add two ingredients for two more guests. This is a dynamite recipe by the way. I make it at quite a few times during the Fall and Winter. So delicious. I like to serve it with pappardelle pasta, this sauce calls for a silky wide pasta that soaks up the delicous sauce. I can't recall if the Besh recipe requires marinating overnight, but I never have. I do flour and brown them first then proceed. Perfect.

I actually would recommend doubling it, because I love to have leftover short ribs! Plus, short ribs are so delicious, people always eat more than they should.
