There's a whole category of tandoor-fired pizza and cheese filled naan in the SF bay area, by Indian/Pakistani places that took over from pizza places. (e.g., a occasional crypto-indian Mountain Mike's Pizza) I would *love* to have something like Zante Indian Pizza in Boston!

This seems so wrong, but so right. Must be a hard thing to do, especially given that occasionally the thin spots in naan toward the center might not hold in the cheese.

I went for the lunch buffet today. Standard faire on the buffet (chicken tikka masala, chana daal, chiecken curry, shrimp do piazza, etc), but very tasty. Price for lunch is $7.95, which is a great price for lunch in Wellelsey. I want to go back for dinner and order off the menu.

Went today as well. Seems they are still getting warmed up; the spinach soup, as I was hoping it was, was not noted as soup and there were no bowls. They took a while to put up labels, but those were helpful. Also saw some funny things like the manager trying to remove some of the liquid from the chana dal because it was too soupy. The naan was good. All in all standard buffet fare, but the price was decent and the space pleasant. I think it would be worth checking out for dinner if you're in the area.

I've gone to the lunch buffet three times now, and I like it. They are rotating some foods, so it's nice to have some variety. They have a good number of vegetarian dishes on the buffet, 2 chicken, and one shrimp dish. The staff have been good and friendly, too. The past two times I went, someone came over and asked how the food was and if everything was OK. I have yet to try dinner, but I hope things work out and they remain.

Just came back from dinner at Singh's.

It was very busy, but the service was absolutely deplorable. It took a half hour for our waters to be filled. The glasses were dirty, and we were given two dessert forks in our wrapped napkin place-setting. When we asked for dinner forks, the gentlemen pointed to our forks and walked away. Our drinks were spilt everywhere on the first delivery attempt. The couple next to us asked for their check four times and waited 30 minutes before getting up and paying on their way out. My philosophy is that a restaurant should be staffed to manage full capacity, and be prepared to be AT capacity on a Friday night, especially when new!

My chicken tikka was average; not served on a sizzling skillet, which was disappointing because there were no vegetables and it wasn't as hot as I would have liked. The side of masala sauce was cold, which I sent back and asked warmed. The onion kulcha was delicious.

While they opened five days ago, it would be too generous to excuse the problems with the dinner as "they just opened". I wouldn't' go back; can get better Indian in Boston/Cambridge.

Same owners as Kebab Factory.
