Help! Need a place for drinks/dinner near the 405 in Signal Hill, Long Beach, Lakewood area

Hi,

I really need some help.

I'm looking for a not too expensive place (I've been out of work for a while) to go on a date. She lives in Costa Mesa and I live in Redondo Beach. So we're looking for places that are in the middle. We've been meeting in Shoreline Village,(Parker's, Yard House) but it's too far off the 405. Can anyone give me some suggestions for decent places nearer to the 405?

Thank you in advance!

Delius Restaurant in Signal Hill (just south of the Cherry Ave. 405 off-ramp) has a very nice bar (with a particularly good wine selection).

Another somewhat less costly choice you might consider is Phil Trani's, which is just north of the Long Beach Blvd. 405 off-ramp in Long Beach. http://www.philtrani.com/

Ristorante Da Vinci in Signal Hill, is right off the 405. Great food, wine & nice views of planes taking off from LB airport. One of my go to places in the area.
