My friends and I are going to do a blind tasting of the best micro beers from around Chicago. We would like to save some money by purchasing single bottles of the beers rather than six-packs. Do you know of a shop that sells singles of beers from Three Floyds, Great Lakes, Two Brothers, Bell's, etc? Thanks for your help

I'm not sure of the name, but there is a place in my neighborhood that has a cooler of upscale single beers. It's on Wells just south of North Ave. Since it's a small place, I'm willing to bet that they will make you happy if the things you want are only in six-packs. And they will charge appropriately, which is why I don't go there often.

Surprisingly, Jewel (at least the one at Division and Clark) has a lot of single beers, way back in the corner of the liquor section.

I know that Cost Plus, World Market sells single beers so you can create your own six pack. Not sure if all the ones you want are sold in singles but they're worth checking out!

Marion st Cheese market (oak park) has a fantastic bunch of microbrews all available by the bottle at $1.50, $2 or $3.
My hubby loved the selection!
they are also VERY friendly, if you give them a call they might be able to tell if they have what you want.
