Hi all, we have recently moved to Calgary from Toronto and I'd like to take my husband out for dinner to celebrate his birthday. I am looking for something formal/funky where the food is interesting and fabulous.

He eats everything. I do not eat meat of any kind or dairy. Fish and seafood are fine.

We've been to Blink and Teatro already....liked both. Would like to try something new.

Suggestions please?

I would strongly recommend Rush. I've been there several times and never been disappointed.

Welcome to Calgary! Partner and I moved here from TO in 2000 and I love to help folks settle.

You really have to try River Cafe- it's rustic but fine (and at the same time urban- you have to visit to see what I mean) and the food is delightful. They are magicians with seafood there.
