Happy Hour - NW Austin, Domain / Arboretum area
I've been out of the happy hour loop for awhile now since I began working from home, usually working through happy hour. I'm looking for some current info as mine is quite dated and we have an out of towner to entertain. I've been to Cover 3 recently and enjoyed it but it was on the weekend. Can you tell me where the better happy hours are during the week?

I've enjoyed the happy hour at Jasper's in the Domain. It's all night as long as you're seated in either the bar or patio area. There are a number of food specials for $5 plus a $5 drink list with some interesting martinis, etc. All other alcohol is discounted (think $1-$2). I had the "fancy" corn dogs last time and nibbled on a friend's chicken wings and pizza. Pretty tasty stuff, esp. for the price.

The new Roaring Fork at Stonelake (just off Braker and 183) has a great happy hour! It is also a beautiful location...

We went for happy hour yesterday, Sunday. $2 off all drinks and half priced appetizers, soups and salads. We had the chips, queso and salsa which was fine but I would say "nothing special" except the presentation was very nice. On the other hand, the chicken flatbread with basil was delicious. Another couple joined us and sampled a piece. They loved it, too, and ordered one, as well.
We sat at the bar looking over the lake on a beautiful day. It was thoroughly enjoyable. The bartender was very personable and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. This made for a fantastic afternoon on a gorgeous 70°+ day...

Beware: Manual's has shortened their happy hour to end at 6 instead of 7. Also, Eddie V's has taken quite a few of my favorites off the happy hour prices. That being said, I think I still like Manuels because of the patio. Otherwise, Cover 3 is my favorite bang for the buck on food.
Can't get my husband to go to the Domain for ANY reason, but I've heard they have several great happy hours.
