Restaurants in Berlin over Christmas
My family and I (ranging in age from 23 to 61) are staying in Berlin for Christmas and we are planning to go out on Christmas eve (24th). Any suggestions? We have asked around and it appears that most/many restaurants are closed on Christmas eve, but some must be open.
Italian, French, German, Middle-eastern, Indian, Chinese, etc. are all appreciated. We're looking for fairly quiet, not too expensive (not more than, say, 50 EUR per person with wine) places.
We are staying in Prenzlauer Berg with no car, so obviously we'd prefer restaurants in that general area, but it's not essential.

We're in the same boat, but we will be staying in Friedrichshain. We would also love some suggestions for Christmas Eve - especially since it's my birthday. :)
We like all types of food, and don't mind loud or quite, as long as the meal is good.
Thanks!

Check out some of the places I mention in the "Foodies Berlin" thread. There are a number of German, Italian, and Chinese restos. I am pretty sure the Chinese places would be open on Christmas Eve. As for the German restos, you'll have to check their respective websites.
