Any thoughts on the bar menu at Davio's? We are going to the Citi Center on Saturday night and a friend suggested we try this for dinner. We are looking for a cozy bar menu experience, as opposed to a full course meal, so any other recomendations would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Isn't there a small "food bar" that looks into the kitchen which is also away from the main bar. If I recall, that is a smaller space and much quieter.

Try Avila right down the street from Davio's (and closer to the theatre). Same owners, more expansive bar menu, and the environment is much more sedate than Davio's on a Saturday night.

Thanks for this suggestion. We did try it and while it was a mixed experience, we will definetly keep it on the radar for our next pre-theatre. The bar was full but we were able to have a conversation without shouting, which was very nice. Food was mixed, but overall good. Big disappointment was my husbands lamb pocket, which was supposed to be garnished with lettuce and tomato and was more like a lettuce sandwich garnished with lamb! My grilled shrimp were nicely seasoned and cooked just right. Steak spring rolls were delicious. The menu was nicely varied and the people sitting next to us, who said they were regulars, raved about the pasta dishes. All in all a nice option within easy walking distance to the theatre.

Yes, they do have the food bar. Perhaps a little quieter but the restaurant in general is fairly loud.

and a working kitchen on a saturday night in a large busy restaurant is neither quiet nor cozy. (think banging pans and plates...)
