A friend and I meet about once a month for lunch in the Princeton area since it's a convenient driving distance for both of us. We only go to BYOBs. We've been to the Ferry House, Blue Bottle, Acacia and Brothers Moon. We've like each of them and have been to them at least twice. Are there any other places that we might be missing?

Not sure if either are open for lunch, but Blue Point Grill is an option, as well as La Mezzaluna. Both are BYO, and both are good.

One that you didn't mention in Lawrenceville is Vidalia. Great little place around the corner from Acacia, but again, I don't know if they are open for lunch. For the most part though, you named all the places worth trying in the Princeton area, at least that is my 2 yen. -mJ

I do not know about the Blue Point Grill restaurant, but I do know that their fish store next door serves lunch. They've got a counter in the back where you can get great sandwiches and soups. My wife loves the salmon wrap and I like the shrimp po'boy. Both come with freshly fried french fries and coleslaw. My wife and I usually go on Saturdays and just sit at the tables outside of Blue Point Grill, but the doors to the restaurant are open, so you could sit inside, too.

Would Lambertville be too far out of the way for you and your friend? If not, then you'd presumably have fine options to consider down there.

Not too far from Princeton is Za, a great little restaurant in Pennington. If you want to stick closer to town you might also consider Camillo's Cafe in the Princeton Shopping Center, and Gennaro's, just north of town on Route 206.

All are open for lunch (but check about Monday).

Yeah, I'll second Za. If you have been to Brothers Moon it's in the same "general" area. Pennington vs Hopewell. And in summer they have a great outdoor patio space covered by wysteria.
