We were in Natchez recently and enjoyed our dinner at the Magnolia Grill. Casual but good food. It would be fine for lunch as well. We heard good things about The Castle at Dunleith for fine dining but didn't get a chance to try it.

Yeah, The Castle seems like that's probably the best place in town. Thanks for the tip on the Magnolia.....looks like its right on the river, too.

Yes, Magnolia is in an old house on the river in the Under The Hill section. The grilled catfish I had was the best I ever tasted.

We were in Natchez a few weeks ago for the balloon race. Didn't really eat anywhere that stood out, tried several that *didn't* stand out, but the highlights of the trip were Bloody Marys at the Corner Bar- made with a commercial mix, but they spice them up really well, and *anything* from the bar at the Grand Hotel. Yeah, I know- that isn't really the kind of place that you go to Natchez for (the Eola is much better for ambiance), but I can guarantee that if Kathy is working, it will be worth a visit- she's as sweet as sugar and funny too!

If you did go to the Castle, I would be very interested to hear what you thought. To say our experience was disappointing is an understatement.
