  1. Check with the Plaza to see if they still do is great. Also, the four seasons hotel and maybe the Peninsula. All in your area.

I've done this at the St. Regis, and it was lovely. the quality of the food and the tea was very good.

Ditto for the St. Regis. and there was live music. ;)

There doesn't seem to be anything going on in the Plaza's Palm Court at the moment, they're waiting for a new chef.

that looks very cute but i think she will enjoy something a little more traditional. i'm thinking the pierre or the st. regis.

        2. Another wonderful option is Lady Mendl's Tea Room at the Inn at Irving Place - you have to reserve, and it's elegant and lovely! Very feminine - I wouldn't necessarily suggest for a mixed group! But for ladies? Wonderful and special.

          1. Lady Mendl's Tea Salon at the Inn at Irving Place does a nice job with their five course afternoon tea. It has a bit of an early 19th century atmosphere & makes you feel as though you've gone back in time.

            1. Lady Mendl's is delightful. You won't be able to eat dinner afterwards because there is so much great food. And the servers are very knowledgable. Lowell Hotel used to be good. The Pierre, which used to have a great tea, is now a terrible tea to be avoided. And a rip-off. I was very disappointed.
