Where can I buy Bone Suckin' Mustard?

I bought Bone Suckin' Mustard at the now-closed Balducci's on New Mexico Ave. in DC and I absolutely loved it! I have been looking for it ever since and haven't found it anywhere, though I have found Bone Suckin' Sauce, made by the same company, in many places. It's easily available online, but I'd rather not pay for shipping. Has anyone seen this stuff in stores around here? I live in DC and don't own a car.

    1. I buy the Bone Suckin' BBQ sauce at the P Street Whole Foods. Maybe they have the mustard?

Thanks, Elyssa, but I've checked there - Whole Foods is one of the many places that sells the BBQ sauce, but not the mustard. Seems like if a store sells one, they'd sell the other, but that's not the case.

If Balducci's on New Mexico sold it, why not check their Bethesda location still open?
Otherwise, check Harris Teeter. Since it's more of a southern grocery, they carry a wider variety of stuff like BBQ sauce.

If no car, then hit the Metro to Crystal City near National Airport. There's a Teeter there. Or, Metro to Pentagon City. Harris Teeter there too.

Thanks, jac0077. I haven't checked the Bethesda Balducci's because of the car issue. I'll check Harris Teeter. I knew that there was one near Eastern Market., but didn't know about the one at Pentagon City.

There is no Harris Teeter in Crystal City. In fact, I don't think there's any grocery store in Crystal City.

The 4 Harris Teeters in Arlington are in Ballston, Pentagon City, Shirlington, and Lee Harrison.

                    2. Order online as a last resort?

                        1. I don't know whether it will be cheaper to bundle a group of chores at non-Metro accessible destinations and rent a Zipcar or simply order online. At any rate, the McLean Balducci's had plenty of the mustard in stock this afternoon.

I went to Harris Teeter last night. Alas, they are yet another store that carries the sauce, but not the mustard. I put in a special order for it. Since I have never done that at Harris Teeter, I don't know how successful it will be. I'll give it some time before resorting to mail order or an inconvenient trip to the hinterlands.

This morning, I spotted the elusive mustard in Whole Foods in Vienna. I know I keep suggesting out-of-reach suburban destinations, but Whole Foods presumably has at least one branch that's Metro accessible in DC.

Interesting... I've looked at the WF in Tenleytown and P St. -- both are easy for me to get to -- and neither of them have it. I'll check again and if they still don't have it, I'll ask them why they can't get it if Vienna can. Thanks!

See if WFM can special order it for you. It may have been discontinued by their distributor, but if one store has it and the distributor has it, it may be available.

I stopped by the P St. WF today and spoke with the grocery manager. He said he thought they would be able to order it for me. I gave him my name and number; we shall see. Oh mustard, you will soon be mine!
