Can you be more specific ... like ... cuisine or price range. You request is vaste.
Many great prixe fix are quite expensive, but worth it.
      "dinner special" has many meanings.

I like the Studio restaurant at Montage Resort and Spa for many reasons.

kc girl, thank you ! Any kind of food is OK. I am looking for the price between $20-$45. However, if the food worth it I am willing to spend more. I am interested in learning the reasons you like the Studio. Somebody told me I should try it. I definitely will try Marche Modern, it's on my list.

Taps in Brea has a pretty good deal going on right now. Three courses for about $25 per person. Portions are not tiny, food is quite good, and service is always splendid (in my experience). The bar makes great drinks, but if you're a beer afficionado, they brew their own.

French 75 in Laguna Beach has a 50% off on all menu items on Monday night until closing. On other days, Sunset dinner 50% off on entrees only, and it must be before 6:30 PM.

Check out La Cave for steaks. They have nightly specials, and free corkage before 8:00. Last tie I went was on a Thursday and it was NY Steak night - NY, potato, and salad for $20 or so...
