Best Aiport Hotel Restaurant

I have an overnight next weekend at SFO. I get in fairly late (about 7) and have a real early flight out. So I really just want to get to the hotel, eat, and go to bed.

I haven't booked the hotel yet, so which hotel has the beat restaurant? I am not really up for venturing downtown at that point, but am willing to go somewhere within walking distance of a hotel that has an airport shuttle.

Thanks!

How about changing the order and eating at the airport? Check this board for comments on the ones that you are interested in.

In Burlingame, 5 minutes south from the airport, there is a Hyatt Regency. Max's Cafe is literally just down the street. Tthe menu doesn't load, but it's fairly casual, good comfort food (somewhat Jewish cuisine), and hopefully will satisfy you. There are a few hotels on the north side of the airport, but I can't really think of or recommend any restaurant on that strip. I'm pretty sure the Hyatt has a shuttle. There are a few hotels further south that have shuttle service, in San Mateo and Foster City, only about 5 minutes further, traffic permitting.

I've always had good food at the Sofitel in Redwood Shores.

They have a free airport shuttle from 6am to 11pm. The downside is that it's not really close to the airport -- maybe 15 minutes in good traffic. But it's definitely a much nicer place than your average airport hotel.
