Will be doing up a pot of Gumbo thanksgiving week and wondering where to score some Andouille, Tasso, or any other (locally) prepared sausages/meats, ect. Or ANYTHING remarkable that I just can't get anywhere else.
Thanks

Bradley's Country Store has good smoked sausage.

I've had some really good bacon from Limestone Meat House in Monticello. They don't seem to have a website:
305 Limestone Rd
Monticello, FL 32344
850-997-4446

Another place in Monticello... I've had their bacon and it was good, but not as good as Limestone: http://www.johnstonsmeatmarket.com

You won't find local made Andouille or Tasso around here.

Since you say ANYTHING, please see the recent thread we had on the deviled crab patties unique to that stretch of road - http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/662875 . I HIGHLY recommend you try stopping by Posey's Steam Room and Oyster Bar in Panacea, FL, where you can get a plate of local shrimp, beautifully briny local oysters, and one of these deviled crab patties, and two sides for $13. Truly one of the best fried seafood plates I've had anywhere in my deliberate quest to order such a plate anywhere I travel.
