Where to buy Korean bowls?

flffypnd Nov 3, 2009 12:28 PM

For Christmas I want to buy my mother a set of Korean stone bowls for making Bibambap but I can't seem to think of a place in the area that would sell them. I am willing to drive pretty much anywhere in MD or even parts of Virginia to find them. They don't have to specifically be Korean but a set of reasonably priced stone cooking bowls is what I am looking for. Does anyone have an idea where I may be able to find them?

    Super H Marts carry them.

This is kind of a related question: I shop regularly at the H mart in Falls Church (I dont think this is a super H Mart... but then I'm not sure) and cannot for the life of me find the little silver rice bowls with the lid like they have in Korean restaurants. Anyone know where I can get my hands on oh, 4 of them cheaply?

Also - where is the Lotte everyone always talks about?

There are a couple in Maryland (Silver Spring & Germantown), and apparently there's one in Fairfax, 3250 Old Lee Hwy.

The new (huge) Lotte is in Chantilly at 13955 Metrotech Dr. (in the large shopping center across from the Acura dealership on Rt. 50).
