OK - New to the neighborhood and need a great restaurant to take a date to.
Must be $50 (food only) or less per person and somewhat romantic.
Prefer a place with fresh local ingredients and a good wine list.

Its not in AC, but The Redhead meets your other criteria, and is excellent.

I'll second The Redhead. No better food for the money, very talented Chef. Get there
early the place fills up fast.
