Balducci's on New Mexico Closed?
I drove by Balducci's and Chef Geoff's on New Mexico last night and noticed a lot of stuff torn up where the patio seating for Chef Geoff's was. It seemed like Balducci's was dark. Does anyone know if they are closed or just doing a renovation of some kind?

I think that they have been closed for many months.

They told me in April that they planned to close in June of this year.

Yep. Wash Post had an article about it. I just missed it. Good news for me in Bethesda is that location will remain open. Too bad this happened. I really liked the former store, Sutton Place Gourmet. Poor investment decisions and poor mangement. Anyone looking for Lewes Dairy products will find them here. The only other place is Dean and Deluca.

Does anyone know what all that construction is about? Will another grocery store go there? Trader Joe's perhaps? The area seriously needs more dining options.
