Bretsky:

I have not purchased any Calvados in quite some time but I would expect that the better wine & spirits stores will have it.

Give deVines, Liquor Select, Crestwood and Bin 104 to name but a few a call and check.

I will give one or two a look on the way back from work today.

I can see in my mind the bottle but do not recollect the actual name and label of a pretty basic calvados that I often have in my "liquor closet".

Then there are a number of higher end bottles like Pomme de Prisonierre [pardon my French] etc. which are more exotic...i.e. an actual apple within the bottle like a pear in the case of Poire Wiliam [spelling?].

I usually end up with a bottle after a visit to Victoria as Marc Morrison at Brasserie L'Ecole usually has it on his interesting and Franco-centric wine list along with other apple based products like Pommeau de Normandie. Of course the Sea Cidery in Saanich and Merridale in Mill Bay supply locally produced apple ciders in various styles different from the more generically produced Okanagan offerings.

5 brands in Alberta - click on "Find it" on the right to check for stores in Edmonton.
The 1st one - CALVADOS PERE MAGLOIRE FINE (DULAC) - can be found in 20 stores (you will have to call a store to see if it is in stock).
