Another Great Mo Chica Tasting menu dinner 6 courses/$30 [review w/pix]

It's no secret Mo-Chica is one of my favorite restaurants in LA. I've written about a few posts on http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/628618
Around the 3rd or 4rth thursday of each month for the last 3 months, Mo Chica has hosted a tasting menu. I went to the first http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/650205 missed the second and just went to his third tasting menu...this restaurant continues to amaze.
Quick rundown of the 6 courses $30 (if you reserve in advance by a certain date--or $35 thereafter)
Compared with his first tasting menu, there were about 3-4x the people, hence we were seated a bit late. But no big deal as there was live music to enjoy.
Course 1: Japanese Pumpkin soup w/croutons and creme fresh. Delicious way to start--comforting and seasonal.
Course 2: Causa, a peruvian yellow potato salad with avocados, scallops and mentaiko sauce...fantastic combination of fresh scallops and flavors--even better then their already great regular causa with crab.
Course 3: Tiradito--similar to ceviche, but differs in the cut of fish. Thick pieces of fresh yellowtail sliced sashimi style with leche de tigre (a citrusy, gingery sauce he combined with aji). This was probably one of the best fish dishes I've ever had. Everyone at our table were literally slurping up the leche de tigre.
Course 4: Seared Blue fin tuna with quiche of camote and purple corn reduction. The quiche was divine and great combination with the perfectly seared tuna. Fantastic.
Course 5: Braised Oxtail with barley huancaina risotto. Tender and flavorful. Barley rissotto was something new and interesting I've never tasted.
Course 6: Peruvian pumpkin doughnuts with chacana honey dressing. Another great seasonal comfort--came out hot, sweet and bursting with cinnamon!
The the only dishes that were similar to the previous tasting menu was the causa and oxtail, however, both were prepared uniquely each time so that the only similar in name only.
The next tasting menu is Nov 19, and to get the discount for 6 courses/$30, you have to make your reservation by Nov 7. An absolute bargain even if you don't get the $5 discount.
