bad experience at wildflour in sierra madre
i went to wildflour around 1:30pm last friday, and there were 4 people waiting at the tables. i tried to order a sandwich but the girl said they were too busy to take my order. no mention of how long the wait might be, no letting me place the order and come back later, just, sorry, we're not serving lunch. during lunch hour. weird.
the chocolate chip cookie i settled for was yummy, but not special. the baguette i got to take home was a sad specimen indeed - badly underproofed and doughy with a tight crumb and chewy crust. i'm glad i didn't go out of my way.
