Kid Friendly for dinner in Hoboken

My friends and I are looking for a good dinner spot in Hoboken where a newborn would be o.k. She rarely cries and will likely be sleeping, but we don't want to distrub others. We're all also big foodies, so it's gotta be good!

  1. You could try Sushi Lounge on 2nd and Hudson. The food is outstanding and the atmosphere is really chill. The music can be a bit loud sometimes, but it seems to sooth the babies rather than antagonize them.

Alternately, Casual Thai on 10th and Washington is delicious and actually kid friendly. The decor is a little blah, but you will love the music! They just put someone's ipod on shuffle over the speaker system and let it do its thing.

If you want something other than Asian Fusion, your choices are pretty limited. My favorite Italian place in town, Leo's Grandezvous, on 2nd and Grand, has the best Penne Vodka I've ever had. And they're also really family friendly. I've never been there when there weren't kids around.

Wherever you end up going, try not to get there too late. It is Hoboken--during the World Series--after all. The drunkies are out in full force after 9pm any day of the week.

Thanks so much for your responses. We won't be going out for a few weeks so we're not worried about World Series drunks (and it's not a Saturday, Sunday or Monday, either so we don't ahve to worry about the football drunks either).

I think Leo's is a good choice, is it the best Italian, probably not but it is good and the room is old school. I like the shell special which is at the bottom of the menu.

Piri Piri is a new place which has gotten some good reviews, but i can't say as I have not been.
La Isla is good but small, so that may not be an option.
I don't see why Amanda's wouldn't work for you either.
